The Soul Food Catalogue of Creativity was first published in 2007 by Shoe String Publishing.

Lemuria and this catalogue were inspired by children’s books from the 1950’s. This catalogue includes images taken from books that belonged to, and fueled the imagination of, Heather Blakey, creator of the Soul Food Cafe.

This catalogue is copyright. Apart from any fair dealing for the purpose of private study, research, criticism or review, as permitted under the Copyright Act, no part may be reproduced by any process without written permission. Enquiries should be made to the publisher, Heather Blakey, at heatherblakey at fastmail.fm

This Catologue is dedicated to the unforgettable men in Heather’s life: Darryl Blakey, who lost his battle with cancer in January 2007, her father, Colin James Goodwin and Archie Hair, who has sustained her inner child thanks to his provision of rich childhood fantasy and wonderment.

It should also be noted that without the writing of George Chale Watson, Heather Blakey’s maternal great grandfather, Lemuria might just not have surfaced from its watery grave, that without the creativity of Greg Blakey, the Soul Food Cafe would not be nearly as numinous.
